When we think of a piece we'll keep for life, we often think of leather. Our good quality leather shoes, bags and jackets will be worn hundreds of times and passed from hand to hand for many years to come.
There are many questions surrounding the use of leather, its provenance, tanning and alternatives. At Rafale, we choose to offer you quality leathers from certified tanneries.

👟 Tunit / TPU

A thermoplastic polymer that therefore comes from the chemical industry. It is often used in the manufacture of shoe outsoles, particularly in sports shoes. It is used because it offers good resistance to abrasion, wear and harsh environmental conditions, is lightweight and has a great ability to maintain its shape in a variety of conditions. Rafale tolerates it, but prefers its recycled version.

--> Tongue: dormant stocks of calfskin
-> Attachment: dormant stocks of sheepskin
→ Heel: 100% leather
→ Sole: double thickness tunit elastomer (comfort ++) with premium embossing of the logo

We recommend that you use a waterproofing agent suitable for the material of your shoe before first use.

→ Clean suede: soak a clean cloth in a mixture of lukewarm water and white vinegar, then rub gently.

→ Cleaning leather: use a flannel cloth because its delicate fibers preserve the leather while preventing scratches
